CBYAA is a long standing organization dedicated to the youth of Colonial Beach, Virginia. Organized football and cheer activities have been a source of pride and camaraderie in our town. The foundational skills learned in youth sports have carried into school sports, giving a solid knowledge base to CBYAA alumni. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the original organization and local league was disbanded.

In 2024, it was recognized that the youth of our community benefit from organized sports and the decision was made to reorganize CBYAA. Most of the individuals that represent CBYAA on the Board all have children who were part of CBYAA in their formative years and played or still play High School sports. 

​

CBYAA recognizes the importance of athletics as well as academics and has done their best to maintain schedules for practices and games that are convenient to the families that have trusted us with their children. While tackle football won't be available in 2025, CBYAA is excited to have organized a home league for flag football and cheerleading for athletes from ages 5-12 years.

The structured skills learned will be valuable to our kids as CBYAA progresses back to tackle football, as will the learning block skills of CBYAA cheerleading. Our goal is to teach teamwork, respect, strategy and dedication while putting in time on the field. 

​

We look forward to working with our community and its children as we continue to develop the program and look forward to its ongoing success.
